Pilar De La Horadada is located right on the border of the Murcia and Alicante regions and is the perfect location to enjoy the very best that both the Costa Cálida and the Southern Costa Blanca have to offer. The region is largely agricultural; surrounded by market gardens, orchards, citrus groves and pastoral farms.
One of the most popular beaches in Pilar de la Horadada is “Playa Jesuitas”, with fine white sand its surface contrasts with the reddish walls that surround the beach, separated into two charming coves. This beach located at the foot of a watchtower from the 16th century. The beach has a blue flag making it popular among families with small children.
Pilar de la Horadada has a large variety of activities to keep busy during the year and holiday seasons such as dream beaches, Roman ruins in different locations, “El Río Seco“ (literally translates to “The Dry River“) a pleasant 14km trek through a dried up river bed with plenty of shade and wildlife to be seen along the way, walks along the sea front with a large selection of traditional Spanish ice cream parlors, plenty of places to try some authentic Spanish Tapas, a relatively new golf course (Lo Romero), a cycling trail throughout the whole area away from the busy traffic and a yacht club offering stunning Mediterranean views.
The area also has an abundance of small Spanish boutiques and supermarkets plus many bars and restaurants throughout making this small Spanish town the ideal holiday destination.
